Child-Centred Child Impact Report for Separating Parents
Service Description
Our Child Impact Report service offers a sensitive, child-focused assessment to support families navigating separation or parenting disputes. The report provides valuable insight into the child’s emotional world, helping parents and professionals make informed decisions that promote the child’s well-being and stability. Service Inclusions: 1.5-hour consultation with both parents separately online. An initial session to understand the family background, current parenting arrangements, and any concerns or areas of conflict. 1-hour consultation with each child A confidential, age-appropriate session that allows the child to share their thoughts and feelings in a safe and supported environment. (Fee includes up to 2 children; an additional $180 per hour applies for each additional child.) 1-hour feedback session with parents individually A professional debrief outlining the child’s expressed experiences (without direct quotes), and key themes to consider for ongoing parenting decisions. Short Evaluative Report A Child Impact Report that highlights the child’s perspective, any identified concerns, and recommendations for supporting their emotional and developmental needs. This report can be used to inform mediation, court proceedings, or future parenting plans. The Child Impact Report is prepared by a qualified practitioner experienced in child development, family dynamics, and family law settings. While the report does not determine outcomes, it provides a neutral, evidence-informed perspective that helps place the child’s needs at the center of decision-making.
